Fingers danced over the black and white keys of the piano, carefully pressing them down so that the large instrument could sing out such a lovely tune - yet it sounded so sad, almost as if in mourning for some great loss. Crying because it hurt. Leaning against the door frame that lead to the bedroom, the father watched the son play out such a tune while tenderly stroking the small white rabbit held in his arms. Blue eyes watched as the young man played. It had been his son that had picked up the piano so beautifully, although Isobel was quite skilled too. It was a shame Christian so rarely ever played, because his music always sounded as if it was coming from the soul.
Placing Romeo down and watching the creature slowly hop away, Morgan moved from his spot to stand behind his son. Glory-May had finally relinquished hold over the piano that had been in the family for years, giving it to her younger brother, since she had refused to play for so long she was now too out of practice to be able to perform decently. Although playing the piano held such memories for all the the Hearst children, Morgan had never fully given up, and had taught his own children, with Tetsu joining in along the way. Hand placed itself upon his son's shoulder, blue eyes watching as his son's hands stroked the keys, bringing out the music. "So what's got you so down?" he asked after such long silence.
"Nothing," was the simply reply for Christian, never waving from his song.
"Yeah, and I'm the Queen of France," Morgan replied sarcastically. "Now spill the real truth. I know that song, and I know you only play it when something it bothering you."
Fingers stalled upon the keys, moving his head to look up at his father with big brown eyes. "There's nothing wrong, Dad. I just felt like playing."
"So you sneak into my home, just to play on the piano for the hell of it? No other reason?" Eyes narrowed suspiciously. "I'm not buying it."
