Chaos

A.N.: I'm in one of those yay!babies!!omgomgomg moods again, and unfortunately Raleigh is getting the brunt of it xP It also means I can have me some toddler!Ewan too x)

Raleigh frowned at the colourful little handprints coating his wall, and then at the paint covered toddler in a pair of dungarees. "Showing an artist side, huh Ewan?" he asked the little lad.

Ewan grinned at him, flashing him a toothy smile. Placing his paint covered hands palm flat on the floor, the little boy pushed himself up to stand on his feet and walked over to the spot Raleigh was scrutinising and added to his little 'masterpiece'. "Wehday did it." he explained.

"Wednesday isn't here today," Raleigh replied. Raleigh had taken up babysitting the twins for his niece since she and Jamie were particularly busy over the past month. Plus, it gave the two time alone. However, it worked in reverse for Raleigh, meaning he got less time to spend with Elliot. Not that he was complaining; Elliot loved kids. Wednesday had an appointment with the dentist, which Jamie was dealing with. Kate was working and the poor man could barely cope with both of his children when he had back-up. Dealing with Ewan and Wednesday on his own would bring about the End of The World, or at least a great cataclysm the likes of New York had never seen before. To keep Jamie out of an early grave, Raleigh stepped up to help. He could postpone his own work and look after the little boy. Ewan wasn't too hard to deal with, and he was getting used to being at Raleigh's apartment.

Usually, however, Raleigh had back-up in the form of Elliot. Today, it was just Ewan and himself as Elliot was at work for most of the day. But, Raleigh thought he could cope. Ewan didn't get into everything like his sister. Often, he could be content with his toys and Raleigh could even get a few concept sketches done while keeping a watchful eye on the toddler.

It had been like that, until a bathroom break. Ewan was being rather quiet, but Raleigh assumed he was just playing very intently, and went to make himself a coffee to drink. Coming back to the area of his home that was the lounge; where he had left Ewan, Raleigh was greeted by the lack of a toddler and nothing but the toys he had brought with him. It was then Raleigh had to search to find out where little Ewan had managed to get.

And where he 'got' was into Raleigh's art supplies.

And then proceeded to develop his artistic talent with them - and Raleigh's wall.

With a sigh, Raleigh knelt down to Ewan's level. "I'm going to have to clean you up now," he informed the boy. "That means 'bath time', Ewan."

Ewan smiled that toothy smile again. "Oh-tay!" he said gleefully, and held out his arms towards Raleigh.

If the mess on his wall was what Ewan was capable with when it came to paints, the mess in the bathroom reflected Ewan's talents with water and bubbles. When Elliot came home the first thing he noticed was the little multicoloured handprints on the wall. There were two sets of wet footprints coming out of and back into -several times- of the bathroom. Wondering just what had happened, Elliot made his way to the lounge area and saw Raleigh slumped across the sofa. Ewan was nestled between the man's body and the back of the sofa, his head pillowed on Raleigh's chest. He was sleeping, his thumb in his mouth, obviously lulled to sleep by the gentle rise and fall of the chest he was resting against.

A smile spread across Elliot's face as he saw that Raleigh had passed out too. As uncomfortable as he looked, Elliot just couldn't bring himself to wake the older man. Not only because it risked waking Ewan up, but because the scene was just too cute to disturb.

First Words

Ewan stared up at the man's face with wide eyes, inspecting every feature of the older man with intense scrutiny. After much thought and deliberation, he slowly reached out with his hand and tugged on a handful of that curly red hair.

Raleigh let out a yelp, and tried to detach the toddler's hand from his hair. Ewan, however, was finding the whole ordeal rather amusing, as was evident by the grin on his face and the cute little laugh of his. Raleigh finally managed to coerce his young great-nephew to release his hair by tempting him with a toy. Once it was in the boy's hands, the kid began gnawing away on it.

"Remind me again why I agree to baby sit these two?" Raleigh asked, looking up from the little lad on his lap to where Elliot sat on the floor - trying very hard not to laugh - entertaining Ewan's twin sister.

"Because you asked if you could," Elliot replied. "And you're doing fine, don't worry."

"Says the doctor," responded Raleigh. "I'm too young to be someone's great-uncle."

"I think its nice. Few people get to see their grandparents relatives."

"That's because usually they're dead, not just a few years older than their parents." He looked down at Ewan who was still laughing away as he shook the oddly shaped toy, watching as it flashed and made whirring noises. "I mean, think about it, when Ewan gets married - I'm going to be there at the wedding. Great-Uncle Raleigh. I'll only just be turning grey!"

"He's not even three yet, and you're thinking about him getting married?" Elliot asked. "And am I not invited?"

Raleigh grinnned, adjusting his hold on the toddler. "You're just going to be 'Uncle' Elliot. I'm going to be the dirty old man with the young, hot doctor boyfriend."

"Ahweehot...." muttered Ewan.

Both the adults stared at the boy. "Kate said he doesn't talk yet," Raleigh explained. "Wednesday can say 'Daddy', but Ewan hasn't said anything yet."

Crawling closer to the sofa where Ewan perched on Raleigh's knee, the older man's hands protectively holding him around the waist, he sat and looked at the little boy. "Say that again, Ewan."

Ewan grinned at him.

"Maybe we just heard it - or it was Wednesday."

Elliot frowned. "No, I'm sure it was Ewan. Come on, say it again."

"Ahweehot."

"I think he's trying to say my name," Elliot said, a slight blush forming on his cheeks.

"Really?" Raleigh looked down at Ewan and smiled at him. "Say Ellleeeot"

"Aaahweeeot!" In his little mind, Ewan couldn't quite fathom why the two adults wanted him to say the word, but they clapped and made a fuss over him when he did it, so it couldn't have been that bad. "AAHWEEOT!"

Raleigh was laughing now, as Ewan continued to chant his own little version of Elliot's name. "Well, I guess that's why he didn't say anything for a while. He was waiting for you, Ellie."

Geek

A.N: 358/2 DAYS!!!!

Seated on his sofa, Raleigh heard someone fiddling with the key at the door to his apartment. Without turning to look at the door, he opened his mouth to call out to them. There was only one person with the spare key. "I told you that key was for emergency use only!"

"I'm sorry. Lake said I could borrow it and come see...you..."

Elliot stood in the doorway staring at Raleigh. The older male was spread across it with his feet on the coushions. Odd socks on his feet and his long red hair pulled back into a pony tail. He wore comfortable (and obviously 'lazy') clothes, and his round rimmed glasses perched on his nose. Propped up with pillows, he held a Nintendo DS in his hands. He smiled at Elliot and motioned with his free hand for the blonde to come in.

"If I knew you were going to make a habit of showing up randomly I would have given you a key of your own sooner."

Elliot blushed and looked at the key in his hand. "My classes finished early, and I didn't have anything else to do. I rarely ever see you when I'm at school, so Lake gave me the key..."

Closing the lid of his DS shut, Raleigh slipped off the couch and padded up to the younger male, wrapping his arms around Elliot and snuggling him. "You can always come and visit me when ever you want."

"I was worried you'd be working."

Raleigh chuckled. "I've always got time for you over the other Roxas."

Elliot frowned. "What do you mean?"

Raleigh's grin increased and he returned to his spot on the sofa, bringing Elliot to sit with him. Shuffling closer, he lifted the white DS and opened it to show Elliot the new game he had acquired. "Don't tell Lake I have it yet."

"You have 358 and a half days?"

That intoxicating grin grew even bigger, and Raleigh's fingers pushed buttons, making the little Roxas sprite jump around the top screen, an Axel sprite tagging along after him. He curled one arm around Elliot's form to snuggle against him and still play on his video game. "I'm not too sure about the new character they put in. I've read much speculation on who she is, but I'm not too sure of it."

"She's supposed to be Kairi, right?"

"She can't be Kairi's Nobody, because its already been established that character was Namine, and you can't make a Nobody from a Nobody - that requires a heart."

Elliot chuckled, nuzzling against Raleigh's warm side. "So who do you think she is?"

Raleigh "Hmmm"'d a bit before shrugging. "I'll have to play more a see, won't I?"

"So why don't you want Lake knowing you have it?"

"Because he's the biggest Kingdom Hearts geek that I know."

Elliot chuckled. "Not including yourself?"

Raleigh beamed, leaning down to kiss his forehead softly. "I'm a fan artist, I'm worse than geek status."

Trio

"I think Elliot doesn't like Evan."

"What makes you think that?"

"Because I punched him the other day."

Lake looked up from what he was doing to stare across the table at Elliot. His hands ceased the childish braiding of Raleigh's long red hair, and his mouth hung open. "You punched him?"

"He deserved it," Elliot said grumpily.

"Evan was doing his usual, and forgetting the fact we're not together," Raleigh explained. "So Elliot smacked him on in the jaw."

Lake chuckled, shaking his head at his friend. The trio were sat in a little cafe tucked in a corner of the village. Lake was perched on the back of the seat, Raleigh between his legs while the teenager braided pieces of the long red. Lake had been playing with Raleigh's hair from the moment they all sat down together. Pulling it into pigtails, and generally making Raleigh look like a fool. Only Lake could get away with doing such a thing. "So are you guys speaking now, then?"

"I don't know," Raleigh replied with a sigh. "After carrying his ass to the hospital, I told him that to be honest I don't think we should be friends at all."

"I don't like him at all," Elliot said, stirring his straw in his soda. "Its like I don't exist to him."

"Evan sees what he wants to see," Lake explained. "Even before Calvin started pumping him full of drugs. But you can't just ditch him, you're too nice, Rawrie."

Raleigh smiled weakly. "I hoping Elliot's punch will have knocked some sense into him, and that he starts thinking about his actions - and that I don't want to be with him. Now, or ever again."

"Sooooo, are you two going to grow old together?" Lake asked with a purr. "Planning the wedding already, Rawrie?" He could see Elliot's blush threatening to crawl over his cheeks, and noted how Raleigh's body tensed beneath him at his teasing, but this was Lake, and he meant it in jest. "Bet you'll be adopting about six hundred kids and everything!" He leaned forward, bringing his face close to Raleigh's ear. "Elliot really likes kids," he said, acting as if he was whispering yet saying it loud enough for Elliot to hear.

Raleigh pushed him away, only to end up flying after him to catch him before Lake crashed onto the floor.

Kangaroo Cry

A.N: Because Elliot isn't just Elliot without ANGST....

There was a frantic banging on his door. Pinching the bridge of his nose before opening his eyes to stare at the ceiling above, Raleigh untangled himself from sheets and arms and went to see just who would be calling at such a late hour. As he padded towards the door, he took one glance over to his bed where Elliot slept, shifting in his sleep as the knocking threatened to rouse him from his slumber. Not wanting him to awake, Raleigh hurried to the door and pulled it open a crack.

"Raleigh..?"

Outside stood a young man, only a few years younger than the red head with sleep still in his brown eyes. Sandy blond hair and dirt on his face, the man was shaking on the spot. His thin clothing was soaked through with rain water, and possibly some other source of dirty water.

Raleigh didn't say anything, just moved aside to allow the male inside. He shivered as he stepped inside, clutching his arms for warmth. Green eyes looked at Raleigh; the man standing there with sleep mussed hair and nothing but black boxers on. "I'll go get you a towel, go wait in the kitchen"

"Why?" the male croaked his question, voice ragged and horse.

"Because I don't want you dripping on my couch," Raleigh replied as he went in search of a towel for his friend. Doing as he was told, the lad walked with squelching shoes to the little area of Raleigh's studio apartment that made up the kitchen. Leaning against the counter, he looked over to where the bed.

"Who's that?" he asked as Raleigh came back with a selection of towels.

Raleigh looked over his shoulder at the figure just as Elliot rolled over and snuggled deeper into the blanket. "That's Elliot," he said as he helped his friend dry his hair. "Why are you here, Evan?"

"I needed some place to crash," Evan replied, leaning his head back as Ralleigh towel dryed his hair, then proceeded to run his fingers through the wet locks. "I had a fight with Calvin, and he pushed me into the foutain at the park."

"Calvin's a dick. I could have told you that a long time ago."

Evan sighed, pulling the towel tighter around his shoulders. "It was more than sex though, Leigh..."

Raleigh clicked his tongue and forcefully yanked at Evan's hair, causing the male to cry out in pain. "Of course it was, dumbass, and I did tell you a long time ago that popping those pills would get you in the shit." He smoothed his hand over the spot he had just abused, casting a wary glance over to his bed to check that the scream hadn't woken Elliot up. "How about next time I give you advice, you damn well take it?"

Evan nodded, and turned around, looking up at Raleigh's face. "I'm sorry, Leigh...For not listening to you."

Tongue ran over his lower lip as Raleigh stared at his friend. Dammit, why did Evan choose now to try and worm his way back in to Raleigh's life? "Look, its complicated now, Ev, and I don't think you should really be here..."

The shorter male pouted, reaching up and looping his arms around Raleigh's neck. "I still love you, Leigh. I'm sorry for all I put you through. Can we try again?" He was twirling one finger in the long hair at the back of Raleigh's neck, and leaned up on his toes to press his lips against Raleigh's pair. He pulled himself closer to Raleigh's body, one hand falling to lift Raleigh's arm and wrap it around himself. Like a puppet, Raleigh complied.

"Raleigh?"

A voice broke through, and Evan pulled back. Raleigh quickly turned to see Elliot sitting up in his bed, a look in his eyes. God, how many levels of heart break could Elliot go through before there was nothing left of this boy? Not even shooting a look to Evan, Raleigh headed to his bed where Elliot was now pulling on his clothes. "Ellie...Look, let me explain."

"No, Raleigh. You don't need to explain anything." His voice sounded dead, and his mind was set on wanting...needing to get out of the apartment. His eyes were hard, and it was obvious the boy was doing his all to keep himself from crying. Raleigh tried to grab his wrist, but Elliot just pulled away and left, the door slamming behind him.

With a growl, Raleigh rose from the bed and shot a glare at the male still standing in his kitchen. "Is it okay if I stay now?"

"No, Evan, its not."

"Why? He only looked like some high schooler. He'll get over it."

Raleigh hurriedly pulled on clothes. "That high schooler happened to be my boyfriend, Evan."

"I thought you said you weren't going to deal with relationships for a while?" Evan shifted nervously from one foot to the other, but no guilt yet registered in his blood shot eyes. "That's what you said last time..."

"Yeah, well, last time I didn't know about Elliot." He tugged on his coat and stood by the door, still glaring at Evan. "If you're still here when I get back, I'm going to make you think Calvin is nothing more than a pussy cat compared to me." The door slammed for a second time, and Raleigh headed out into the rain to try and find Elliot.

Phone held against his ear, Raleigh couldn't get through to Elliot's phone. Praying he could get through to Lake, he narrowly missed a collision with a car as he charged out into the road. The driver honked his horn angrily, but Raleigh ignored him and kept on running.

"Nnnmmmmwwhaaa...?"

"Lake! Lake! Lake, its me!"

"Me?"

"Raleigh, you idiot."

"Yeah?"

"I've lost Elliot. I need you to help me find him."

"He's not a set of keys, Rawrie, and I'm not playing Naked Hide n' Seek with you two."

"Fuck, Lake, Elliot has ran off! Evan came round, and Elliot saw us and wouldn't let me explain."

"I thought you and Evan weren't speaking?"

"We weren't! But Cal...Shit, Lake, I don't have time to explain! Just get your butt out of bed and help me find Ellie!"

The sun was starting to rise by the time Raleigh found Elliot. Lake had checked his dorm room, and the campus without luck. Searching the places he thought Elliot would be, Raleigh couldn't find him anywhere. He felt terrible for waking Xai, but she was the last person he could think of that might know where Elliot had gone.

"Have you tried Trace's grave?"

The rain had stopped now, but Raleigh had spent so much time in the rain that night that he was practically soaked through. He'd never visited the teenager's grave before, but Lake told him where it was. He couldn't bare to bring it up with Xai.

The blond was crouched by the headstone, tears and rain streaking his face.

"Ellie..."

"Why me, Raleigh? Out of all the people in the world - why did you have to pick me? What about him? Picking me just isn't enough, is it?"

"Evan and I...dated for a while," he said, standing behind Elliot's crouched form, hands stuffed into his pockets. "I don't know grief like your's, but I know heartbreak. Evan broke my heart...not once, but several times. I thought after that I wouldn't be able to feel like I had a heart again and so I told myself I just wouldn't get involved with anyone."

"So why was he there?"

"There's a man named Calvin - I met him once at a party, and he seemed like a really nice guy. He was fun and always up for a party. He wanted to be a writer, and so we became friends. I introduced him to Evan - which I really shouldn't have done. The two became really good friends, and they were partying all the time, I barely even saw Evan some weeks. Then one day, I find out through a friend that Evan and Calvin have been sleeping together. Break up number one." Raleigh stared at his shoes before looking to see what Elliot was doing. The boy was still staring at Trace's headstone. "After about two months, Evan comes and asks if I'll take him back. Being the idiot I am, I give in to him. But Evan comes back with baggage. He's on drugs, and no matter much I plead with him, Evan won't quit, so we break up again. Turns out Calvin was the one that was supplying Evan with the pills. So I go and confront the guy, and for the four months I thought I was with Evan, turns out he was still sleeping with Cal."

Raleigh sighed heavily, pushing his fingers through his hair. The rain had made it knotted, and it hurt to tug his fingers through. "Basically, Ellie, Evan is an idiot, but I couldn't turn him away when he needed help." Slowly, he went to crouch down beside Elliot. "Then I met you, and I was drawn to you. I couldn't help but fall in love with you."

The End

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2A5OCSMvrw - has inspired this

It was growing dark. Nightfall was creeping like shadows in the corners of the room. An entire day spent with fingers tugging at hair in frustration, a growl rumbling at the back of the throat. No one dared come within ten feet of the raging mass of teenager. He'd even taken his rage out on the man who he hadn't seen in years.

"You're no father of MINE!"

Alex was going to have to replace the front door of his dentist's office...or come up with a skilled way to explain the way an eighteen year old boy had torn it from its hinges and broken it in two. Such a scrawny looking thing had such a power in those arms that looked so weak. He'd gone to try and patch things up between them. It was hopeless - he'd chosen the wrong day to go. With the full moon so close, Vincent was not in any mood to be treated like an innocent child - or put up with Alex Lyall's crap.

Stroming through the streets, dark eyes glaring at the pavement he stomped upon as he walked along. Maybe he should see Ainsely. She'd calm him down. Lock him up. Let him roar out his pain.

God, why had you abandoned him?

Shadows stretched long across the ground, and the moon that was hidden by the fading daylight caused every inch of Vincent's skin to prickle and tingle. Vincent pushed fingers against his skull, growling low in his throat. He was near the school now. No one was around to witness the teenager in those few moments before the sun sank and the silver moon beamed down on his body.

"Hey...You're Vincent, right?"

Well, obviously not as alone as he thought. With slow and juddering motions, Vincent lifted his head to lay bloodshot eyes on a male in his early twenties. Twenty-two, twenty-three. Honestly, Vincent couldn't care. Teeth were sharp in his gums as he growled at the bastard.

"Marshall told me about you. Said you guys were friends."

Vincent didn't dare speak. His vocal chords were ripping apart in his throat. Wolves didn't talk. The male stood with a sense of self-pride while Vincent stood curled in on himself. The bones in his fingers ached. The moon was coming.

"I should get inside." he forced out, noting how every word he spoke rumbled like a wild animal's threat. He caught the first spark of fear in the older male's eyes. That's it; be terrified. Vincent was more of a monster than he ever would meet. "I shouldn't be here."

"Its not that late." The male looked around. "The sun has nearly set though" He turned to look back at Vincent, holding out his hand. "I'm Sullivan by the way." Sullivan. Marshall mentioned that name with caution in his voice. It was a rocky road - like Vincent trying to say Keiran's name. This Sullivan was placing himself on the same level of the vampire bastard. "I hope Marshall hasn't said anything bad about me to you. I guess you guys are closer than I ever was."

Vincent tugged on the sleeves of his shirt. Run, you bastard. Stop talking and just flee. "Go away!" Vincent barked. "GOAWAYGOAWAYGOAWAY!"

Sullivan looked shocked, holding his hands up in defence. "Hey, don't get so angry, kay?"

The werewolf growled, and all he could see was red. Pain in his body. There was barely any light in the sky. The moon hung behind clouds, laughing evilly inside Vincent's head. A scream rose up from the depths of Vincent's lungs and he fell to his knees, hands clutching his head.

Sullivan, confused, stood and watched the teenager collapse to the grassy ground.

A young werewolf took time to change. The body needed time to adjust from one set of bones to another. Vincent practically burst out of his human form into the seven foot tall beast of black fur. There was no voice in the threat for Sullivan to run as jaws parted with rows of white fangs, growl a deep rumble like thunder in the distance yet so close to force someone to paralyse with a deep seated fear.

Yellow eyes stared down at the human. Inside his own head, Vincent was still screaming.

"Vincent!" cried a voice.

Head swung to the side to see a blond that felt so familiar running up to them. Standing on strong hind legs, the werewolf dropped onto all fours before the teenager.

"Marshall?"

"Sulli, run!"

This time, the older male did as he was told. The werewolf made to move after it, but Marshall cried out his name again, and inside the lycanthrope's body, the boy heard and kept the body firmly rooted to the spot. Ignoring the other human, it moved closer to the source of a scent no other human could possess, and nuzzled against Marshall's cheek.

Ainsely was obviously having an effect on the werewolf. Not enough to make it a careful creature, but enough for it to at least recognise people Vincent saw on a daily basis. Recognition flashed in the yellow eyes, and with a growl, the werewolf turned and raced in the opposite direction, leaving Marshall standing there, watching the creature until the darkness swallowed it up.

I'll hold you through whatever

"You know, I was expecting Spongbob or something."

"I'm gay, Lake, not camp."

Brown eyes searched along the familiar corridor leading towards his front door, while arms shifted to better position the body on his back for easier carrying. The duo had been out all morning, and on the way home, Lake had demanded a piggy-back ride from the taller, older male. For some odd reason, Lake was asking questions on underwear. Obviously Raleigh's answer of "Plain black" did not satisfy him enough.

"I'm going to search your drawers when we get..."

He never finished his threat. His own gaze settled on the same figure that had caused Raleigh to stop in his tracks. There on the floor just beside Raleigh's door was a blond familiar to them both. Knees pulled up and head in his hands, it was obvious from the way his shoulders were shaking that he was either crying, or close to it.

Raleigh looked over at where Lake stood, nibbling on his bottom lip in worry. "Do you want to talk to him?"

Lake shook his head. Patting his friend on the arm, he turned to go. "Let me know how it goes later," he said with a bright smile that only Lake could have. With a final glance to the lad on the floor, he went.

As Lake walked away, Raleigh moved to kneel beside the figure on the floor. "Ellie?"

There was a sniffle, and slowly the teenager lifted his head to focus tear filled red eyes on the older male. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have come."

Raleigh shook his head. Reaching out with his arms, he helped Elliot up and into his apartment with barely a word, but a look in his eyes that spoke a thousand things. Lowering the younger male to his couch, Raleigh looped an arm over Elliot's shoulders and pulled him to his side. Finally, he spoke; "Do you want to talk about it?"

Elliot shook his head and snuggled closer.

With his other hand, Raleigh reached over and wiped away some of the tears coursing down Elliot's cheeks. "Well, when you do want to talk about it, you know I'm always here for you." He leaned in and placed a soft kiss to Elliot's forehead. "You don't have to feel bad about coming over." From the things he could piece together from Elliot and what other's told him, Raleigh knew about Trace and what had happened to him. He wished he could make things better for the younger male. Someone as young as Elliot shouldn't have had to go through what he had.

Attempts to get up and make himself a drink at first were futile. Elliot clung to him, and while he didn't say anything, the looks he gave Raleigh every time the older man tried to move broke his heart. Giving in to him, Raleigh put on some films for them to watch. The films were mainly anime spin-offs and stand-alone from the main series. He didn't know what or where Elliot was with the current favorites, so opted to put on things that wouldn't majorly affect the storylines.

After a few films, Raleigh looked down to where Elliot was curled against his side and the teenager had fallen asleep. Slowly and carefully, Raleigh extracted himself and then carried Elliot to his bed, putting him down gently and pulling the blanket up over his shoulders. Leaving him there to sleep, Raleigh went to his small kitchen ans made himself a drink. Leaning against the counter with a mug of tea in hand, he checked his phone for messages.

Lake had sent several asking on the state and wellbeing of Elliot. Taking a sip of his drink, Raleigh informed Lake that it would be unlikely Elliot would be back in his dorm room tonight. A message was then sent to Madeline to let someone of more authority know about the current location of one of the students. He'd let her know more tomorrow when he went to visit (and because she was worried he was taking the term 'starving artist' too literally), and set his phone aside once the message was sent on its way.

"Raleigh...?" The voice sounded so tiny, and lost.

Putting his mug down, Raleigh strode over to his bed and lowered himself down next to the obviously tired Elliot. "I'm here, Ellie. I'm not going anywhere. I was just letting people know where you are." He leaned down and kissed Elliot's temple. "I told Lake you'll be staying here tonight. I didn't think you'd wake up."

Elliot shook his head. "No, I...I want to stay. Thank you."

Raleigh smiled, and stroked his fingers through Elliot's hair. "I've got some work to do, but I'll come to bed later." Fingers stroked down Elliot's cheek. The look in the blue eyes, however, prevented him from moving away from his bed, and lying down, Raleigh ended up falling asleep with his arms wrapped around Elliot.

Earth-bound

A man linked to plants and things that grew in the ground would undoubtedly be terrified of areoplanes. Or at least, that's what the Sage twins believed. In fact, it was more his fear of something happening to his dearest plant Winston that set Sam on edge in his seat as the plane soared through the sky.

Siran had promised to check in on the plant every day. Because of border control and other such things, Sam wasn't allowed to bring Winston along for the ride to New York. It had been difficult enough to get Wednesday's baby on board - they didn't dare try and purchase a ticket for a plant.

Sam sat fidgeting in his seat. Ewan was softly snoozing on the seat next to him. Looking over, Sam nudged him, rousing the younger male from his slumber, bringing out a groan/moan from his lips. "Whaa...?"

"What if he doesn't get enough water?"

"Winston will be fine," Ewan mumbled sleepily. "Don' wowee." He shooked his head "I mean; don't worry"

Sam couldn't help but smile, and interlaced his fingers with Ewan's. Leaning over, he nuzzled against the sleepy male's ear. "You sound so cute when you're sleepy."

"Tha's cus you woke me up," he said, but his lips were curled into a smile. Turning his head to face Sam, he rubbed their noses together. "Siran knows how to look after Winston. We're only going to be gone for a few days."

The rising cost of damnation

"You tell them," Sam whispered, glancing through the doorway to the sofa where two shapes sat watching something on the television set. "They'll listen to you."

Ewan frowned, following Sam's gaze before looking back to his boss/landlord/friend/lover. "They'll skin me alive! I say we do what Winston suggested and just hose them down."

Sam glared at Ewan's grinning face, watching as the smirk fell at the dark look he was given. "Its the shower or nothing."

Admist their whispered argument, a deep voice boomed out from the room. "We can hear you two lovebirds whispering!"

"They're your angels," Ewan stated, but he gave in at the pleading puppy dog look Sam gave him. Stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jeans, Ewan strode into the room and stood in front of the T.V. He was fixed with a glare from the two men on the couch, and the human did his best not to crumple under the weight of the angel's displeasure. "We have something we'd like to tell you."

"Can it wait?" asked Ambriel with his deep voice, stuffing a handful of brightly coloured m&m's into his open mouth. "Lesbian Spank Inferno is due to start soon."

"It can wait," Ewan said smoothly.

Cassiel leaned over to speak to his angelic companion. "I think they're ganging up on us." He pointed behind him, where Sam had moved to stand behind the sofa, arms folded at his chest. "Do you want the skinny one, or shall I?"

Ambriel smirked. "Attack Formation Omega."

Cassiel gasped, throwing one hand against his open mouth in mock-shock. "Not Attack Formation Omega! Ambriel, they're only humans. Surely you're not set on Attack Formation Omega?"

Ewan cleared his throat in a way of announcing he was not impressed by the lack of attention he was being given. "We have a request to make of you two."

"Does it involved beer?" Ambriel asked.

"No."

"No can do then, Ewan. I mean, its not like we're all powerful beings that are capable of doing God's work."

"You're ANGELS!" The youngest male in the room growled, curling his fingers into fists. "And currently you're SMELLY ANGELS!" With another growl, he pointed in the general direction of the bathroom. "Shower. Now."

Cassiel blinked mutely, while Ambriel remained stoic and silent beside him. Slowly he rose up from the seat and adjusted the jacket on his shoulders. Rolling shoulders and neck, he looked at Ewan. He looked terrifying and formidable as he stood - almost towering - over Ewan. He stood like that for several moments. Ewan's heart was thundering in his chest, and he swallowed at the lump formed in his throat.

And then Ambriel smirked and did as he was told, motioning for Cassiel to follow him. "I expect beer for this," he yelled as he left the room.

All the breath built up in his chest came flying out of him in one single blast, and Ewan crumpled onto the sofa. Looking up, and grinned at the face of Sam that was smiling down at him. Reaching up, fingers grazed the skin of Sam's arm, trailing down to his hand and tugging him onto the sofa with him. Settling into a comfortable jumble of arms and legs, he looked over at the television and the T.V. show the two angels had been watching. "Sooo...Lesbians?" he asked with a chuckle while nnuzzling into Sam's neck.

What I saw you doing when you thought you were alone

With the pregnancy, and her general state of being, Ewan had spent very little time with his twin sister in nothing more than a sibling way. She wasn't up for staying at Sam's while she housed "The Spawn of Muffin the Mule" (so claimed their father) in her womb. She wasn't exactly acting like a pregnant woman much anyway. Ewan tried to place the image of his pregnant sister to that of Jung. The man just generally disliked the idea of carrying a child. At least Weds was at ease with the whole situation. Ewan had tried his best to try and involve himself, but Taylor was scary sometimes. He could probably kill someone with those tools of his. And those chickens of his. Damn creepy things.

He'd spent the entire day with his sister; the two of them just reminiscing about all the things that they had done growing up, and their early memories of their parents and the rest of their family. She talked about the things she did while on her own in France, and the things she got up to on a day to day basis. The twins shared stories. Ewan mentioned how things were with Sam, and how he didn't quite know where their relationship stood - or where it was going. He liked Sam - a lot - but because of some of the stupid things he had done, he didn't quite know where things would lead.

Saying his goodbye to his sister after walking her back to her own apartment, he headed back to the place he called home. He was exceptionally thankful to Sam for all that he had done. A job, a home, and friendship. He passed Ambriel and Cassiel on his way. The two were trying to (drunkenly) teach a dog how to bark the Bohemian Rhapsody. Waving at them as he went on his way, Ewan checked on the garage, thinking Sam would still be up meddling with something on one of his bikes or something. Someone had brought in a car in dire need of repair, and it was Ewan's current 'project'. Since it was Sam's shop, as the owner he would probably work on it in some way. Not that Ewan minded.

But the lights were all off.

Presuming Sam had gone to bed, Ewan let himself in as quietly as he could. Hanging up his coat, he noticed that it wasn't as quiet as he first thought. Paused, with his fingers brushing the fabric of his coat Ewan was certain he could hear moaning coming from the other room. It was distinctly female, and there was no mistaking what form of moaning she was doing. Jealously prickled at the back of his neck as Ewan tried to process just what could be happening. Did he really want to go barging in there and confront Sam? He'd made it clear he wanted space - Ewan had no clue it was so he could invite some bimbo over.

Reaching the doorway, eyes adjusted to the lighting that came from only the television set in front of the sofa. He could see the shape of Sam sitting on the sofa; even hear his moans in the air, just slightly audible from the sounds of - the television.

Sam was watching porn?

He recognised the channel. He'd been sitting in the arm chair with Winston on his lap and the angels on the couch. Ambriel was complaining there was nothing on to watched, and - with Ewan acting as translator - Winston suggested they order some of the porn channels.

Ewan had then discovered that Ambriel shouldn't commentate pornography - with Cassiel providing a beat-box backup soundtrack.

Leaning against the door frame, keeping himself hidden from sight in the darkness, Ewan watched as Sam 'took care of himself'. Biting on the corner of his lip, Ewan clasped his hands behind his back to keep himself from doing anything that might lead to him being caught. He could feel the pressure against the inside of his jeans. The man and woman on the screen were highly erotic, but they paled in comparison to the man on the couch. Sam was a very reserved person. Ewan couldn't fault him though. He believed he was completely alone in his own home. Sam had every right to sit and watch porn and masturbate to it.

With teeth holding the edge of his bottom lip, Ewan grinned as Sam's breathing got heavier and his moans much deeper. Head tilted against the back of the sofa, and Ewan pulled further into the shadows, even though Sam wouldn't notice him. While on the T.V. the woman panted and the man grunted, Ewan listened only to the sounds the older male was making. He was close, and it was even sending tingles over Ewan's entire body.

"Aaahhh...Ewan..."

At first, Ewan panicked that he'd been caught 'perving' on Sam. The male, however, was still looking away. He hadn't been caught watching the amazingly sexy sight of Sam jerking himself off. Remaining hidden while Sam cleaned up and made certain it wasn't obvious what he'd been up to, Ewan waited until the television had been switched off and Sam had gone to bed before slipping out of his hiding place.

Following Sam to bed, instead of heading for his own room, Ewan pushed open the door to Sam's bedroom. It was dark, and it was obvious by the way the light from the window fell across the bed that Sam had already climbed in. Padding softly over to the bed, the younger male crawled on the mattress up to him, leaning his head down where his lips brushed the shell of Sam's ear.

"Guess what I saw you doing when you thought you were alone?"

Gossip

There was a constant banging on his door. Someone was trying their damndest to get his attention. Maybe, he thought, if he laid in bed with his eyes closed and ignored it whomever was trying to hammer their way through his door would leave him alone...

However, this was not the case. Instead, they decided to turn their knocking into a rythmic tune.

With a groan, Raleigh pulled himself up and wandered to the door. Opening it, he was nearly the next thing to have a knuckles rapped upon him by a mohawked teenager. Realising that there was no longer a door in front of him, the lad looked up with a grin.

"What...?"

No answer came from the punk, but from the head that popped up behind him, a grin on her face. Pushing Jojo aside, she wrapped her arms around the ginger haired male, exclaiming his name.

"I never get hugs liks that..." mumbled Jojo.

"You're not my uncle," Kate replied, ushering her relative back into his home. Jojo following her, he quickly made himself comfortable on the sofa, swinging his long legs over the arm and grabbing a discarded magazine, flicking through it.

Raleigh frowned at Kate. "Shouldn't you to be in school?"

"I've got something better to do," Kate said with a smile. "Gossip is you've been seen at the school - but you're not visiting me. Also, according to gossip you've been spotted with some fourth years."

Raleigh frowned. "I do still have friends at that school." He glanced at Jojo "Why'd you bring him?"

"He's my secretary," Kate announced, gleefully. "And Jamie was working."

"I prefer the title 'P.A'," responded Jojo, not looking up from the magazine. "Personal assitant."

"Perverted Asshole," Raleigh replied.

Jojo grinned. "That too."

Raleigh looked to Kate again. "Why are you paying attention to gossip anyway?"

"Because you, my dearest uncle, are a source of much gossip. Now, coming back to New York I can understand, and yeah, you knew a lot of the students of Constance, but, while I know you and Lake were close, its not Lake you're seen with."

"Dimitri wouldn't approve," Raleigh replied, moving to the little kitchen to make himself a coffee. "He's very possessive of Lake." He glanced to Jojo. "Speaking of Dimitri - Lake is not a happy bunny where you're concerned, Joseph."

Jojo's grin had spread from ear to ear for the briefest of moments until Kate turned to glare at him. Under her glare, he shrunk into the seat, pulling the magazine up onto his head as if it would protect him.

"What did you do?"

Kate thwapped Raleigh's arm. "Now is not the time to talk about Jojo and how he thinks with only one part of his anatomy," she replied.

Judging by her expression, Raleigh decided that it wasn't a topic he wanted to get involved with. Obviously whatever had happened hurt more than just Lake. Kate would tell him when she was ready. Moving to his little kitchen, Raleigh set about making drinks for his intruders.

"Its not a fourth year that has my attention," he said as he poured boiling water into his mug. "But he's friends with them, so I guess thats why I've been spotted with them."

Kate frowned in thought as she looked between her uncle and her friend on the couch who was gnawing on the edge of the magazine with his front teeth. "A third year, huh?"

Jojo threw up his hands defensively. "Just because Abbie is a fourth year doesn't mean I know all of them and their friends! He's a very secluded person."

"Does Sidney know him?"

Raleigh grinned, leaning on his elbows on the counter, watching the pair with amusement in his eyes. "You always were the social whore, Joseph."

Jojo scratched his head, grinning sheepishly. "Dimitri told me that he wasn't going to come and smash your face in because you're not hitting on his Lakeski, but on someone named...Elliot...?"

Just the mention of his name had a small smile curling at the corners of Raleigh's mouth. Kate caught instant sight of it and pointed a finger directly at his face. "Elliot! You fancy Elliot!?"

"What's wrong with him?" Raleigh asked, arching a brow in confusion. "There's just something about him that I find endearing."

"You do know he's not even legal, Raleigh!?" Kate exclaimed.

Raleigh sighed, ruffling a hand through his hair. "I know, I know. Its just...I really like him, and I think he likes me too."

"I've heard that he's cursed," Jojo said. "Anyone that he cares for either disappears or dies."

"That's just gossip and rumors, Joseph,"

Kate frowned, leaning against the counter her uncle stood behind. "There was a big fuss over one kid dying some time back," she said. "I think I remember seeing a little blond kid. He looked absolutely devasted. That must have been Elliot." She turned around and looked Raleigh in the eye. "You better not die or disappear, Raleigh," she warned.

He gave his niece a small smile. "Kathleen, you shouldn't believe everything you hear. Elliot and I...We're friends. If something happens between us I'm not going to force it. I know the risks, but there's just something about him. After all that fuss over Evan, I really don't see myself jumping into anything. If something happens - it happens."
